Nico Halle & Co. Law Firm > News > Entry into force of Four (04) Annexes of the Bangui Agreement revised on December 14, 2015 in Bamako

On November 14, 2020, two months after the deposit of the instruments of ratification by two-thirds of the signatory states, the Bangui Agreement revised on December 14, 2015, entered into force. On this date, the following 04 Annexes also entered into force:
– Annex VI on Geographical Indications
– Annex VII on Literary & Artistic works
– Annex VIII on Unfair competition
– Annex X on Plant Variety
The remaining annexes will enter into force progressively, and hopefully soon, given the need to meet up with the ever-evolving IP landscape.
